This week we would like to bring your attention to the Gin, Cheese & Ale festival which is happening this weekend the 2nd and 3rd June. It is from the same company as the Lichfield food festival which brings thousands of people from around England to try what Lichfield has to offer and it is always very successful.
One of the main reasons that people come to visit Lichfield is the Lichfield Festival and it is not long until it starts again. It is 11 days of summer not to be missed!
So here is an outline of what to expect this year.
My Parents, Colin and Zandra Gordon, rented Netherstowe House from the years 1937 to 1941 and yesterday, out of the blue i looked up 'Netherstowe House, Lichfield' on the Internet. The first website showed an imposing Georgian house.
Immediately I felt I was back in the year 1937. My first, happy memory of life is at two and a half years old, tucked up in a small, low bed in my “night nursery” on the top floor of Netherstowe House. Through the closed door I could hear music playing softly on the gramophone as I drifted off into sleep
